Welcome to the First Annual Los Angeles Bowl-a-Thon!
What is a Bowl-a-Thon?
It's like a walk-a-thon, but way more fun. You register and create teams that raise funds to support low-income women's choices in California. Then the pro-choice community comes together to celebrate at our friendly local bowling alley! Costumes and puns encouraged. Athletic skills and good taste not required.
There is a bar. There is bowling. Rumor has it there is also pinball!
How do I sign up?
The Bowl-a-Thon in Los Angeles is Saturday, April 6, at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at a locale accessible via major highways and public transportation. After you register and donate $10, you will receive an email confirming the time and location.
This is the first event of its kind in Los Angeles. Our goal is to come out striking and raise $10,000!
To meet our goal, we need you to sign up as team captains and bowlers! There is a required $10 registration fee, which counts toward your fundraising totals. Then ask friends, family, and strangers to sponsor you with a donation. Suggested fundraising goals are $250 per individual, and $1000 per team.
Please pay your $10 registration fee after you register online by clicking the DONATE button on your fundraising page and contributing a donation of $10+. Can't participate on April 6? Start a virtual team and fundraise, or donate to the team with the best name in solidarity!
Where does my money go?
Proceeds benefit ACCESS Women's Health Justice, which helps low-income women and girls fund their abortion care. ACCESS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent of the law. To learn more, visit ACCESS's website!
