The Georgia
Reproductive Justice Access Network (GRJAN) is a
grassroots organization that promotes and supports reproductive justice
in the
Southeastern United States. We believe that everyone has the right to parent,
not to parent,
and to care for existing children; to have the resources available to
make
reproductive health decisions; and to have the power to access these
resources.
Therefore, we work to identify and eliminate barriers to abortion access
faced
by low-income people in the Southeast by providing small grants to those
who
cannot afford to full cost of an abortion and/or birth control.
Whether you're a captain, a bowler, or a fan/supporter, we're thrilled to have you! The money you raise will have a direct impact on womens lives. Did you know that 3-15 times the number of women call GRJAN's hotline each week than we are able to help at our current budget? We're proud of the number of people we've been able to help over the past year, but with your help, we can raise even more money to change the lives of low-income people in Georgia.
Now let's knock down those barriers together!
Here's how to get started:
We need awesome team captains, bowlers, and, of course supporters! First, click on the REGISTER button at the top of the page to get started. You'll have three options: Start a Team, Join a Team, or Individual Participation. Fill out the fields on the page you choose, including your team and individual fundraising goals. If you feel confident in your ability to recruit and motivate a group of your friends to raise a ton of money, then click "Start a Team." If one of those enthusiastic team captains recruited you, click "Join a Team." Select your team name from the drop-down menu and consider yourself a bowler! If you're a free agent, sign up under Individual Participation and we'll hook you up with a team.
You will also earn points for raising money, recruiting friends, spreading the word via social media, and even just logging in to your fundraising site. Points = Prizes and we love some healthy competition! Don't forget to get started by telling the whole world you've started or joined a team on Facebook or Twitter. Once you've signed up, check out the Participant Points for more information.
