What is Bowl-a-thon?
Bowl-a-Thon is a nationwide series of local events that allow community members (you!) to captain your own bowling team, participate in a national event and raise money to help women and girls pay for abortions they couldn’t otherwise afford. This is a great opportunity to go balls out for choice!
How do I get donations?
Each team is responsible for raising $1,500, which split among a team of five is only $300 per person. If you can ask twelve people for $25, you're golden (or twenty people for $15--however you decide to break it up, believe us, it's totally manageable)! The tools on this website make it incredibly easy to invite your loved ones, colleagues, Facebook friends, or Twitter followers.
Who are we?
Preterm is a non-profit, tax-exempt abortion clinic that was founded in 1974. Our mission is to advance women’s health and reproductive justice by providing safe, respectful, and accessible abortion care. Donations will help build Preterm’s Access Fund, which we use to provide financial assistance to women based on need. More than 90% of our patients are uninsured or have health coverage through Medicaid, which doesn’t cover abortion care in Ohio.
Preterm’s Access Fund helps ensure that poor and low-income women have the same access to high quality abortion care as women of means.
