Welcome to the Women's Medical Fund 2013 Bowl-a-Thon!

Are you ready to strike down barriers to abortion access?

The Women's Medical Fund provides direct emergency financial assistance and other support to low-income women and girls in Southeastern Pennsylvania who wish to terminate a pregnancy but cannot afford a safe, legal abortion.  We know that without access to abortion, "choice" is meaningless.

Whether you're a captain, a bowler, or a fan/supporter, we're thrilled to have you!  The money you raise will have a direct impact on women's lives, right here in our community.

Now let's knock down those barriers together!

How to Register for the WMF 2013 Bowl-a-Thon

** PLEASE READ EVEN IF YOU'RE A VETERAN BOWL-A-THONER...THERE ARE A FEW CHANGES THIS YEAR! **

For Captains:  Pick a team name, register using the "Register" link above, pay your $10 registration fee by making a donation to yourself, and then email wmfbowl@gmail.com to confirm your registration and receive further information about this year's bowl-a-thon and fundraising tips.  Teams should have at least four members, and we suggest no more than six members per team in order for everyone to have enough time on the lanes (each team gets an hour to bowl).

For Bowling Team Members:  Find your team/captain on the list, register using the "Register" link above, pay your $10 registration fee by making a donation to yourself, and then email wmfbowl@gmail.com to confirm your registration and receive further information about this year's bowl-a-thon and fundraising tips.

Setting a Goal: All bowlers are expected to raise at least $100 in order to bowl (to defray the cost of the lanes and event organization).  However, past experience shows that WMF bowl-a-thoners are stellar fundraisers, so we suggest you set an individual goal of at least $150 and encourage you to aim even higher!

Donations: WMF is grateful for all donations and wants its donors to get credit (and a tax deduction) for their generous support!  We love all the creativity that an abortion bowl-a-thon inspires, but please note that if a donor doesn't provide her full name when making a donation, WMF will be unable to send the proper paperwork noting the donation.

Pledge form:  Here is a downloadable pledge form for teams doing tabling events or collecting donations from folks without web access.

Questions:  Have questions or want more info before you register?  Email coordinators Liz and Caitlin at wmfbowl@gmail.com.
